Celebrity Birthday of the Day – July 17

Dude! Alex Winter is an actor whose on-screen resume is surprisingly short, but I bet you can name at least one movie starring him! Winter studied dance at an early age, and in the late 1970s he moved to New York City to act on the Broadway stage. He continued to act on Broadway throughout the 80s and 90s, but additionally began to expand into film, with his two biggest hits being The Lost Boys and Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Other notable credits during this time were voice work on the Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventures cartoon, acting in Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, and roles in the movies Freaked and The Borrowers. He took a lengthy absence from acting after 2000, focusing more on his writing and directing, but returned to TV in 2007 doing voice work on the cartoons Saul of the Mole Men and Ben 10. Word has it a new Bill & Ted movie is in the works, too. Excellent! Alex Winter turns 47 today.
