Before They Were Stars: Tom Hanks Gets Stoned on “Taxi”

Last year, I showcased early footage of Tom Hanks as a bully who got into a karate fight with “The Fonz” on Happy Days. Today, I’m going to showcase early footage of Tom Hanks getting stoned with Christopher Lloyd on Taxi. In this two-part episode of Taxi, they featured flashbacks for each of the characters to show how they got to where they are. It’s revealed that Christopher Lloyd’s character, Reverend Jim Ignatowski, used to be a clean-cut serious student at Harvard until he took a drug-laden brownie from Tom Hanks, which started him on a downward spiral and turned him into a burnout. Man, Tom Hanks as a bully AND a drug pusher?! He used to be such a dick!
