Before They Were Stars: Joe Pesci Sings a Demo Song

Whenever I can dig up obscure recordings of Joe Pesci’s early musical career, I immediately make sure it gets posted on The Back Row, especially when it involves him doing a Porky Pig impersonation while performing a Christmas song. This Pesci recording from the 1960s, is actually pretty decent, however, as a pair of songwriters named Arnold Capitanelli and Robert O’Connor wrote a tune called “Good Thing” and hired Pesci to sing a studio demo for the song. “Good Thing” would eventually be picked up by an obscure British band called Harmony Grass, who released it as a track on their only album.
